Sexuality and Religion
Listen
Story teller and social innovator Linda Kay Klein has been advocating for social change in the realm of the American Evangelical Christian Church for over a decade, specifically with its expectations of young women. She was taught that a girl's sexuality is the most important mark of her spiritual standing with God and that a women's sexuality is viewed as shameful in the eyes of the church. Conversations with other young women coping with these same identity issues that lead to complications with one's own sexuality facilitated her own healing and lead her to more progressive churches. Her book is a resilient call to action for all who have experienced our society's subjugation of women. Linda Klein is featured on Tedx and in Good Housekeeping, The Lilly, Pop Sugar and The Cut.
