Breast Cancer
Listen
When Laura Holmes Haddad was 37 years old, she was diagnosed with Stage IV inflammatory breast cancer. Through her three-year treatment journey she realized that there was so much more to a cancer diagnosis than the medical "stuff". This is Cancer is the thoughtful informative and, sometimes entertaining result, for those who prefer their pathos with equal parts humor, reality and a touch of flair. As a patient advocate she has been a speaker at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and Discovery Gala events in SF. Haddad is a former cookbook editor at Simon & Schuster whose work has appeared in travelandleisure.com and numerous other publications.
